Description

We created this project based on the image of a Japanese drinking district. We actually went to Shinjuku's Golden Gai to take material photographs. We were also influenced by the streetscape of the movie "Blade Runner," which was modeled on Shinjuku Kabukicho, and the shimmering factory nightscape. The store names on the fictional signs are incoherent, including difficult words and Internet slang. The painting is done directly on a transparent PVC board with acrylic gouache. The inside has an LED light inside, which can be illuminated for your enjoyment.　The cord of the light is white and comes out from two places on the back side to connect to an outlet. This work will be exhibited at UNKNOWN ASIA EXTRA from 11/28 to 12/24. Please note that shipping will be after the exhibition period.

Concept

My work is conceptual and pop analog. I mainly use acrylic paint. When drawing, I use a brush pen and a millipenial.
I have loved painting since I first arrived, and in 2017, I started to take up a full-fledged career as an artist, realizing that even though I had a hard time in the past, I was able to overcome it through painting.
I mainly depict women with Japanese facial features, and human faces.
I have a strong admiration for pop art, surrealism, and ukiyo-e.
I try to include at least one "gimmick" in every picture so that the viewer can enjoy it more.
I have a tremendous yearning for foreign countries, and I aim to "communicate beyond language" through painting.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
